Dental coverage
Cleanings, fillings, crowns, dentures. Some plans cover implants. Often $25–50/month for meaningful coverage. Pays for itself the first time you need a crown.
Vol. 8 — Service / Additional Coverage
Standalone dental, vision, hearing, hospital indemnity, and cancer plans — for the gaps that even a great Medicare plan leaves open.
Plans we represent
What is it
Original Medicare doesn't cover routine dental, vision, or hearing. Many Advantage plans include limited versions of these benefits, but the dental allowances are often modest and the vision/hearing allowances often won't fully fund a major need like dentures or hearing aids.
Standalone dental, vision, and hearing plans fill the gap. They're cheap to add, easy to use, and most don't require a network. For folks who need real coverage in these areas, a standalone plan often pays for itself in one year.
Beyond the basics, hospital indemnity and cancer plans pay you a lump sum or per-day benefit if you have a covered event. Not for everyone — but for folks worried about a worst-case scenario, the peace of mind is real.
What you can add
We'll only suggest these if they actually fit your situation. Many of our clients don't add any of these — and that's fine. The point is knowing what's available.
Cleanings, fillings, crowns, dentures. Some plans cover implants. Often $25–50/month for meaningful coverage. Pays for itself the first time you need a crown.
Annual exams, frames, lenses, contacts. Some plans cover LASIK. If you wear glasses or contacts, the math is usually in your favor.
Routine hearing exams plus hearing aid allowances. Hearing aids are expensive — $1,500–$4,000 per ear. A plan with a meaningful allowance saves real money.
Pays you a daily benefit when you're admitted to the hospital, on top of whatever your Medicare plan pays. Useful for folks with high deductibles or significant copay exposure.
Pays a lump-sum benefit on cancer diagnosis or other covered critical illnesses. Treatment costs add up fast even with good Medicare coverage. Some folks find this peace of mind worth the premium.
One more thing
“Most of our clients add one or two of these — usually dental and vision. Some add nothing. We'll never push a plan you don't need.”
