What is it
A Medicare Advantage plan (sometimes called Part C) is a private alternative to Original Medicare, run by a private carrier but regulated by CMS. Instead of carrying a Medicare card and a Part D card and possibly a supplement card, you carry one plan card and use that for almost everything.
The trade-off is the network. Advantage plans negotiate lower costs by funneling you to a specific set of doctors and hospitals. If your doctor is in-network, this can be a great deal. If they aren't — or if you travel a lot — a Supplement plan may serve you better.
We'll never push you toward Advantage if Original Medicare + Supplement is the better fit. We'll just tell you which way the math points for your situation.
What you get
When agents talk about Advantage plans they list dozens of features. These five are the ones that matter for almost everyone. We'll walk through each one for the plans available in your zip code.

Most Advantage plans include Part D. We'll check your specific medications against the plan's formulary — because a plan that's cheap on premiums but doesn't cover your prescriptions is no bargain.
Many Advantage plans have $0 monthly premiums and lower copays than Original Medicare alone. We'll calculate your real annual cost — premium + expected copays + drug costs — not just the headline number.
Vision exams, dental cleanings, hearing aids, gym memberships, transportation to appointments, even grocery allowances on some plans. Real value, but only if you actually use them.
Most Advantage plans assign a primary care doctor who quarterbacks your specialist referrals and care. For folks with multiple conditions, that coordination genuinely improves outcomes — research backs this up.
One more thing
“We represent dozens of Advantage plans across the carriers we work with. Tell us your zip code, your doctors, and your prescriptions, and we'll narrow it to the three or four plans worth comparing.”
